At the base of the seat, just at floor level on both sides of the seat are black levers that need to be pulled towards the back of the car.
These levers can be very hard to pull - and at times I have resorted to levering them back with a long screwdriver.
Once they're released, lift the back of the seat upwards pulling the seat back - up and out of the front latching brackets.
