Easiest way to remove a Ford Aerostar dash is to give the whole van away to someone you don't really like. :-p (it's how I got mine. thanks Dad.)

It's one of the harder vehicles to work on when it comes to doing anything on the engine. IMHO It was never intended to have a V6. A straight 4 banger would be easier to work on. Changing the spark plugs is the worst possible job I can think of. A metal cutting blade on a Sawzall to make access panels on either side of the engine doghouse near the floor helps. Pray you don't need to fix a cracked exhaust manifold... the only way is to drop the front clip and engine out as a unit. I did it.

It's old. Get rid of it. Seriously. There are other rear wheel drive vans you can get that are less of a pain to own.
