If u look at the knob itself, and turn it, u will see and feel a lil cut out or notch.what u have to do is take a small screw driver regular and keep it strait on into it push down on screwdriver and pull out at same time.once u have it off you will.see. that that metal tab holds it in a groove to put back in.all u have to do it push it on
headlight switch has a short in it and needs replacing This is very common on older ford trucks.
It is in the headlight switch. If you take out your gauge bezel it's right there on top of switch..
