relieve the pressure off the high pressure side
When recharging your AC you should first inspect your ac lines for leaks. Remove the cap from the low pressure side service port, and look at the connectors on the air conditioner lines. Remove the cap from the Low Pressure Side service port. Locate the connectors and connect the refill hose. Open the valve on the refill hose and fill.
Need to remove a quart of trans. fluid to add a quart of lucas trans conditioner. Does not have a drain plug.
remove the air filter assembly and the low pressure and high pressure service ports are there with caps on them.

low pressure recharge port is on reciver/dryer under brackets by battery. easier to get to if you remove part of the bracket, but it can be done without that if you have small agile hande. the high pressure port is by battery close to front of truck
the actuator door is above the actuator motor which is above the floor vent ducts in the middle of the dashboard at the bottom easy fix on F- 150 on a Expedition you have to remove the middle console first to even get to that section of the dashboard.
No you don't have to remove the air conditioner dryer to use the pulley.........
The air conditioner/compressor sits on the front passenger side on top of the fender. Remove the water reservoir and then you can disconnect and remove the air compressor. I do not know yet how to remove the air dryer as I cannot see how to remove the air lines from the dryer. I did remove the dryer from the compressor though, by removing a single screw then turning the 1/4 turn and pulling it out of the compressor....so at worst I will be able to put my new compressor in with the old dryer.

The air conditioner low pressure switch in a 1993 Toyota SR5 is behind the glove box. There are three screws inside the glove box to remove for access.
My 2008 Sprinter 3500 (Motorhome) has the engine battery under the floor in front of the driver seat. I just hooked up my Battery Tender to it for recharging. The owner's manual shows how to remove it which I'll probably have to do if the recharging doesn't work.
Remove the drive belt from the air conditioner compressor. Remove the air conditioning hoses from the compressor. Remove the retaining bolts from the air conditioner compressor.
