To remove the water pump on a 3.4 or 3.1 V-6 simply remove the 4 bolts from the water pump pulley, remove the drive belt, them use a large screwdriver and pry just a little and rotate and pry until the pulley pops off. May use penetrating oil, the center of the pulley sometimes gets stuck on the water pump.

No need to drain rad You dont even need to remove the lower rad hose just remove the four bolt on the water pump pully 10mill wrench then the pully should come off after that there are 5 8mill bolt that attach the pump to the housing easy as that by the way you need to left up the idler pully to get the belt off it swings up See "How to change water pump on 1990 Lumina". 98 lumina water pump is it the same
Remove the belt from your 1994 Chevy Lumina water pump. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
Remove the belt from your 1992 Chevy Lumina water pump. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your water pump.
Remove the water return hose from your 1993 Chevy Lumina water pump. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
Remove the belt from your 1991 Chevy Lumina water pump. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new water pump.
Drain the water from your 1993 Chevy Lumina cooling system. Remove the water supply hoses to your heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Remove the bottom radiator hose on your 1996 Chevy Lumina radiator. Put a water hose in the top of the radiator. Allow the water hose to run until the water draining from the bottom of the radiator runs clear.
Remove the water supply hoses to your 1998 Chevy Lumina heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the procedure to install the new heater core.
Remove the bottom radiator hose from your 1995 Chevy Lumina radiator. Put a water hose in the top of the radiator. Allow the water hose to run. Keep the water running until clear water runs out of the bottom of the radiator.
Drain the water from your 1998 Chevy Lumina oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the old oil pan gasket and clean the surface. Put the new oil pan gasket on and reverse the process.
Remove the bolts in the front of the pully it's a tight spot a ratchet wrench works pretty good here.
