Both the rear windows on my 92 Caprice came off the tracks if you tried to lower them. This was apparently a design defect in this model as I know of many others that did the exact same thing. You have to remove the door panel to do this which is a royal pain in the butt. I practiced on a junkyard car to learn how but it is not something I can explain easily. MY rule with those model Caprice cars is NEVER to lower the rear windows. vbdenny
How do you remove the drivers door panel and fix the window. It fell off the track.
Remove the drivers side inside door panel. Remove the retaining clips from the window track. Place the new window in the window track and tighten the retaining clips.
