We had the same problem, at first we would just turn the radio off for a short period of time and usually this would work. I have since replace the factory amp. and no longer have the problem. The factory amp is located in the cargo area on the passenger side. You will have the remove the side panel on the right side, and to do this the seat belt hold down will have to be removed.
