Open the trunk and remove the nuts holding the assembly in place. With nuts removed the tail light assembly will come out the back then you can remove the light socket to replace the bulb.

In order to change a bulb in the tail light of a Chevy Celebrity you must remove the tail light assembly from the car. To remove the tail light assembly" 1. In the trunk next to the quarter panel there are nuts that hold the rear header on, the center nut holds the tail light assembly on. It will be in the center of the tail light assembly near the outer edge. Take the nut off and pull the tail light assembly out until the stud clears the body. 2. Pull the tail light assembly to the side to disengage the tabs from the backup light panel. 3. Twist the appropriate socket to remove it from the tail light assembly, then unplug the lamp and replace it. Reverse the steps to reinstall the tail light assembly.
Look in the trunk, there is a cover over the light assembly - open and you will have access to change the light.
