Open the cargo door, if the seats are in position to sit on you will need to do the following: on the bottom of the seat backs near the floor, you will see a 3 black levers, leveler are marked 1, 2 & 3. pull the black lever 1 this will fold the seat down, pull lever 2 this will raise the seat into a upside down V position, now pull lever 3 this will be difficult to pull because it unhinges the seat from the floor. Note that you should go through levers on both seats in sequence & in sync, it will be easier to move them together. Great handles for easy carry, but seats are heavy!
On my 05 Tahoe there is a black bar that goes across the lower back of each third row seat. To remove the seats after the seats have been folded up just pull the bar toward the rear and the seat just rolls out toward the rear of the vehicle. On one of my seats I have to rock the seat a little while pulling the bar to the rear. It's a sweet setup but the seats are 68 lbs. each.
