You must remove the A pillar covers first, then gently pry up the panel, it will pop free. there is a couple "velcro" pads that help secure the panel, as well as plastic clips that hold it in place. Be VERY GENTLE with the panel especially when poping it out of the car, as the plastic is very cheap and brittle, thanks to GM bean counters. Be careful handling the panel outside of the car, do not carry the panel flat ( as it is orientated as installed it can be destroyed by its own weight. Be careful if drilling or cutting the panel it is too brittle, you will crack the panel, and it costs 300 $ at ecklers for a new one!
