As far as I know, just pull out the cigarette lighter and you have a 12 volt D/C power source. If you want an A/C (alternating current) power source, you have to buy a convertor to plug into the cigarette lighter socket and then plug your item into the convertor.
More than likely a blown fuse.
Yes just go to the fuse panel and find a 12 volt source that is turned on with the key and tie into that or check your fuses to the ciggarette lighter
To wire a cigarette lighter in a 1991 Toyota truck, locate the lighter's socket and identify the power and ground wires. Typically, the positive wire (usually red) connects to a fused power source, while the negative wire (usually black) connects to a good ground point on the vehicle's chassis. Ensure all connections are secure, and test the lighter by inserting it into the socket to confirm it heats up properly. If it does not work, check the fuse associated with the lighter circuit and replace it if necessary.
If you are talking about the standard cigarette lighter socket in an automobile, you can only use devices that can run on 12 volts DC ((most modern cars) within the rated AMP load capacity. A standard house outlet is designed for 110 volt AC devices that have a 110 volt AC source
Your DIY 12V power source is shorting out. Something wasn't assembled correctly. Take it apart and do it over. Defective phone charger?
All you need is a hot wire. Many auto parts stores sell them complete with bracket. All you need is a place for it. Use ignition (keyed) source so is only on when bike is for safety. Then just tap the wire.
Your fuse box is linked by a power source. The power source cable goes directly to the battery. Check the power source cable to make sure it is connected properly.
well i would find a spot where you want it. buy it from walmart or a auto place. run positive to a positive source and ground to chasie. that's the easiest way than rather make a new fuse circuit.
The cigaret lighter.
