To repair the driver door lock on a 1995 Chevy Corsica, first, remove the door panel by unscrewing any visible screws and carefully prying off clips. Once the panel is off, inspect the lock mechanism for any broken parts or misalignment. Lubricate moving parts with a silicone spray, and if necessary, replace faulty components. Reassemble the door panel securely and test the lock to ensure it operates smoothly.

From your question, it seems as if you're referring to the catch which the door latches onto. Honestly, take it off (IIRC, it requires a T40 Torx bit) and replace it.
