you dont. get a new one. those lines are under significant pressure and should not have patch jobs. if you really need to you can go the wrecking yeard and pull one off another another ranger. i would highly advise against repairing the line.

You have an electircal malfunction. Take it to a repair shop.
I have a 1995 ford ranger, and the ABS light comes on when the brake fluid is low. Check and make sure your brake fluid is full. If it is full then it could be a number of different things.
