You support the engine at the oil pan using a clock of wood on the jack. Then remove the engine mount trough bolts. Jack the engine up until it clears the mounts. Then remove the old ones and install the new ones. Lower the engine until the holes match up, install the through bolts, torque them to specs and lower the jack the rest of the way.
Sure, You will have to change everything, motor mounts, computer, wire harness, exhaust, etc...
It will fit. There is plenty of room for the engine. You will have to make motor mounts, transmission mounts, and the drive shaft. This is a job that requires lots of fabrication.
You will have to replace it. The bearings are worn out in the blower motor.
No it will not, The holes in the block that hold the motor mounts are in a different location. Truck engines won't bolt up to car mounts, and car engines won't bolt up to truck mounts.
If you have some mechanical ability it is not very difficult, just time consuming. You need to also replace the bell housing on the transmission to one that bolts up to the 350 as well as the motor mounts.
First, take a socket wrench to remove the cover of the blower motor of a 1993 Chevy truck. Then pull the motor blower out and install a new one in its place. Lastly, screw the bolts of the blower motor cover back in.
Check motor mounts
yes, they use the same block design and block mounting though those years. you would just need motor mounts for a 97 as thickness and offset differ slightly.
yes and no yes in that it can be made to fit no in that a Chevy transmission has a different bolt pattern than Oldsmobile's, Buick's, and Pontiac's. the motor mounts are also probably going to be different. However you can change the motor mounts and there are companies that make adapters to use a Chevy transmission with a Oldsmobile, Buick, or Pontiac engine. I have seen an adapter to use a ford transmission with a Chevy engine.
I'm trying to find that site that has 4.3 V6 motor frame mounts for a 1986 Chevy C10 pickup. PLease help me locate it ? I would appreciate it very much. thank you.
The blower motor can be replaced on a 1995 Chevy truck by first disconnecting the battery. It helps to take a picture of the blower motor before dismantling, so that it can be put back easily. Disconnect all the wires from the motor, then remove the bolts holding it to the firewall. Replace with the new motor and bolt it in, then connect the wires. Reconnect the battery.
About 15 mins. That's a easy job.
