You need to drop the fuel tank to get to it. Then it unscrews.
There is more to it then that...
MAKE SURE THE TANK IS AS EMPTY AS POSSIBLE! If you have alot of gas in there, I would suggest syphing as much as you can out of the tank!
If you are doing this yourself, you wanna raise the back end of the vehicle as high and as SAFETLY as you can.
Support the tank with another jack and remove filler neck hose from the tank.
Remove tank staps and slowly bring the tank down.
Remove wiring harness from the fuel sending unit/
Remove plastic fuel lines from the sending unit. BECAREFUL not to break any of them. If you are doing this in colder weather, I would suggest doing it in a garage or having someone with garage do it for you. Cold weather COULD cause the lines to snap and you'll end up with more of a headache.
Twist out your pump.
Install the new fuel pump and gasket.
Follow the directions in the same manner only in reverse.
Start vehicle and check for any leaks.
Took me a few hours....but if I can do it....you can too :-)
Yes.
