Just pull it out and replace it . The PCV valve is the simplest thing to change out on most vehicles. It sits up on top of the engine with a hose going to it.

On the 2.8 it's on top of the plenum at the back. disconnect the hose & unscrew the pcv valve & replace.

The PCV just slips out and slips in; no tools required in most cases.
