Front or rear door ashtray?
First remove all of the attached trim, molding, and cigarette lighter wires. Some coaxing with a rust penetration oil may be required on the ball bearing and slide. Then remove the old one by grasping it firmly with both hands and exerting an outward force. Some tugging and wrenching may be required. Once it has become loose enough, pull it straight back. It will snap out of its ball bearing socket and slide out. Remove the old slide frame and clean or Replace the mechanism with as new a one that you can acquire. Lubricate all sliding contact points and the ball bearing and slot.
Reverse this procedure to install your replacement.. Assuming that suitable replacements are available.
