the brake switch is located on the upper part of the brake pedal arm. To remove it will require the use of a wrench as this switch is retained with a nut. It is a simple procedure but will take some time because of its location.
Note: if you are experiencing problems with the brake lights not turning off it is probably not the switch. Instead it is likely a rubber stopper which needs to be replaced. There are blue rubber stoppers used on the pedal arms. If these stoppers have dried up and broken off the brake lights will remain on. This small gap created by the absence of the stopper allows the switch to act as if your foot is on the pedal
