The door spring requires a special tool the can be purchased for less than $20 from your local auto parts store. Without this tool you may get the spring out but you won't get it back in without damage to the door or yourself. The door pins remove easily, just remove the retaining clip and tap out the pin with a long punch and hammer. You can tap out the bushings also but I would suggest pressing them back in as they are very brittle and will break if you try to hammer the new ones back in. Have someone hold the door upright while it sits on a plastic milk crate, this way you won't have to disconnect the wires.

How do spring hinge pins work in a door mechanism?

Spring hinge pins work in a door mechanism by using a spring-loaded design that helps the door close automatically.
