There is a 7 mm bolt that holds the coil down to the block. It might take a swivel on a socket wrench with an extension or two to get at it. Once you pull that bolt you can pull the coil up and out after you unplug it. If it's on plug 7 or eight (back two on drivers side) you will have to pull bolts holding fuel rail in place and move it out of the way in order to get the coil out.

How do you remove and replace the battery on a 2001 Ford F150?
To replace the ignition housing on a 1992 Ford F150, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the screws, then disconnect the wiring harness attached to the ignition switch. Unscrew the ignition housing and pull it out, then install the new ignition housing by reversing the steps—attaching the wiring harness and replacing the steering column cover before reconnecting the battery. Finally, test the ignition to ensure proper operation.
