This is not an easy or cheap job... It requires removal of the cylinder head, this basically means taking off the top half of the engine!
you will need to drain oil and coolant, undo all sensors to cylinder head, disconnect exhaust from head, remove timing belt etc.
once you get the head off you need a valve spring compressor to squash each spring and remove the collect's that hold each valve in place.
You need to lap in each new valve before carefully rebuilding the head with new valve seals.
Then you need to put the whole engine back together again with new gaskets and sealants and new head bolts.
I would also advise a new coolant thermostat, timing belt and timing belt tensioner. Possibly also a new water pump. As if these go faulty it could mean you bend your new valves.
new oil & oil filter, and new coolant.
Not a job for a novice or for the faint hearted!
Replace the bent valves and inspect the pistons & head for damage. Replace and repair as necessary any defective parts.
If they are bent, yes.If they are bent, yes.
Replace the bent valves with new ones. Several places carry them. Be prepared it is a very in depth job. Be sure to check the pistons to make sure they aren't too damaged from the valves coming into contact with them.
Replace the timing belt and pray that you dont have bent valves.
Bent valvesBent valves
No, but it is recommended. If the belt breaks, valves can get bent.
One of the most common reasons for bent valves is a broken timing chain or belt.
The main cause for bent valves is a failure in the timing chain or belt. When the valves and pistons are not exactly in sync, they can collide.
If the valves bent, then yes.
if it broke it could cost you several $g's probly bent the valves too
Yes, if the cambelt on a Corsa Utility fails or cuts, it can lead to bent valves. This is because the engine's pistons may collide with the open valves when the belt breaks, particularly in interference engines where the piston and valve paths occupy the same space. It's essential to replace the cambelt at recommended intervals to prevent such damage.
