You can't replace the joint. You'll have to replace the whole half shaft. To remove them from the car just do this:
1. Remove the nut from the drive axle.
2. Raise the car and put it on jack stands.
3. Take the splash shield off.
4. Tap the end of the drive axle with a hammer and a punch to free it from the hub.
5. Take the ball joint off the steering knuckle.
6. Turn the steering wheel all the way towards the side you are taking the half shaft off from.
7. Pull the knuckle and hub out while you push the drive axle out of the hub.
8. Support the weight of the engine by placing a floor jack under the oil pan of the engine with a block of wood between the jack and the oil pan.
9. Remove the transaxle crossmember.
10. Place a pan under the transaxle to catch the fluid.
11. Pry the driveaxle out of the transmission.
12. If both of the axles are being removed put a section of a broom handle into the side gears to keep them from falling down into the transmission.
