i replaced spkrs on 78 caprice and 79 by carefully prizeing covers off with a small screwdriver then unscrewed retaining screws with a stubby screwdriver
If You are replacing the speakers, make sure you get the originals or a very shallow speaker since there is not much space between the dashboard and front window.
Or you can just remove the entire dash and then install the speaker...
The space for the speaker is less on the right side. Just to make it even funnier!
