What I did.

Remove wheel, place floor jack under axle assembly (so the rotor will not turn), jack up the assembly so as to take the full weight of the car. I used heavy plumbers tape to thread through the coil springs so as to go inside and outside in four different places from top to bottom, pulling the tape as tight as possible and bolt through the holes in two different holes with 1/4" bolts and nuts w/washers. Slowly lower the floor jack, allowing the tape to take the full tension of the coil springs. disconnect the struts and while they are laying on the ground/floor, remove the coils and place them on the new struts and install, then jack up the assembly and remove the plumbers tape. Done.
