On the passenger side of the engine, toward the front of the side. Near the alternator.
You have to drop the starter on the front bottom driver side of the engine... next to the transmission. The crank sensor is about in the middle of the block. One bolt holds it in.

If you have some vehicle repair knowledge you can replace them yourself. If not, it is best to have a mechanic look at it.
remove the wing nuts or nuts and the whole assembly can be removed from the car wing nut removal from inside the trunk
I have the same problem on my 2001 Olds Intrigue. It appears to be a leak in the trunk deck at the point where the power connects through for the brake light in the spoiler.

Front sensors are usually in the exhaust manifold, at the point where the pipes join from each cylinder.
