# Disconnect negative battery cable at the auxiliary terminal. # Drain the fuel tank before removing it from the vehicle. # Release fuel system pressure. The trunk has an access panel for servicing the fuel tank # Remove the fuel tank access panel # Remove Fuel Filler neck mounting screws # Reach inside and disconnect the filler tube at the fuel tank. # Remove rollover vent tube. # Reach inside and remove the two fuel tank attaching bolts. # Slide the fuel tank rearward and disconnect the fuel line at the pressure regulator and the electrical connetor. To absorb any fuel still in the tubes, wrap shop towels around ends of fuel supply and vapor tubes. # Remove fuel tank from vehicle. == # Install fuel tank half way through trunk opening. # Connect fuel pump module electrical connector to fuel pump module. # Connect fuel line to the pressure regulator. # Connect rollover vent tube. # Slide tank forward. # Reach inside and connect the filler tube at the fuel tank. Tighten clamp. # Position fuel filler neck in opening in body panel. Install and tighten mounting screws # Reach inside and install the two fuel tank attaching bolts.Tighten to 20 N·m (177 in. lbs) torque. # Connect negative battery cable at the auxiliary terminal. # Use the DRB Scan Tool ASD Fuel System Test to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks. # Install access panel in trunk.
