Disconnect the battery negative cable. !!!Power is still on when ignition switch off!!!
I have Olds Intrigue 2000. Blower control resistor (Controller) located behind the
blower motor. Very close to the firewall, and it is a pain in the neck to get there.
Using 5.5 mm. socket remove the blower first. (3 screws are holding the blower)
Using the same socket (5.5 mm) remove one visible screw which holds the resistor.
You will have to loosen two other screws located between the resistor and firewall. You don't need to remove them completely, just loosen them! Resistor just slides out
when they loose.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Remove the RH instrument panel insulator retainers. Adjust the carpet for access.
Disconnect the courtesy lamp from the instrument panel insulator by turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
Remove the RH instrument panel insulator.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the blower motor resistor.
Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector from the blower motor.
Loosen, do not remove, both forward screws. The blower motor resistor opening is slotted as access is extremely limited.
Remove the rearward screw.
Remove the blower motor resistor.

It is under the dashboard against the firewall. You have to remove the blower motor first by folding yourself up into a ball, but it can be done.
You need to replace the blower motor resistor located near the glove box.
replace the blower motor resistor. it is located on the firewall near the heater hoses.
To replace the blower motor resistor on a 2000 Buick Regal, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Locate the resistor, which is typically found under the dashboard on the passenger side, near the blower motor. Remove the screws or bolts securing the resistor, disconnect the wiring harness, and then install the new resistor by reversing the process. Finally, reconnect the battery cable and test the blower motor to ensure proper operation.
Ain't no fixin it, you have to replace it with a new one.
resistor for fan blower is in back of glove box, beside the blower itself.
If the blower motor in your 2000 Nissan Maxima only works on the high setting, the issue is likely a faulty blower motor resistor. To fix it, you should first disconnect the battery, then locate the blower motor resistor, usually found near the blower motor under the dashboard. Remove the resistor and inspect it for damage or burned connections; replace it if necessary. After installing the new resistor, reconnect the battery and test the blower motor to ensure it operates on all settings.
To replace the blower motor in a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the passenger side under-dash panel to access the blower motor, which is located near the firewall. Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the blower motor by unscrewing the retaining screws. Install the new blower motor by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are secure before reattaching the under-dash panel and reconnecting the battery.
Take it to someone who knows how, unless you're a certified Ford mechanic.

Please email me a photo of where the blower motor resistor is and how to change it. Thanks, Michael. By the way I want it for a 2000 Sunfire not a Grand Am.
