Reach inside at the back of the rear light cluster and you'll feel a big plastic wing-nut. Unscrew it with your fingers and the cluster will come loose. If there are two screws as well on this model, they will be T25 Torx head. So many people (like me, for instance) try to undo these with a Pozidrive, before putting on the reading glasses to find out why the Pozi isn't working! Ford use a lot of T25 headed screws. There may also be two plastic "popper" pegs holding the outside edge of the cluster. Hold the cluster in both hands and give a firm pull forward to release the pegs. The bulb on this model is a conventional bayonet-fit 5w-21w side-brake light bulb.
The "high-level" brake light lamp unit mounted centre-top of the hatchback is removed by taking out the rubber grommets on the inside, then inserting a screwdriver blade to release the spring catches. This uses a wedge fitting 18w bulb.
