Bump engine to zero on balancer, Remove valve coves, loosen rocker arms valvetrain, remove lifters & pushrods. Remove distributor if cam driven (note #1 on cap, rotor position), remove balancer with puller, timing cover, gears & chain. Thread handle into end of old cam. (special tool you can buy or use a long bolt with the right threads) Pull carefully straight out front avoiding nicking the journals. Lube new cam & lifters. Pop them in & if reusing pushrods put in same locations. Put everything back together. You will need a crank socket to manually turn engine to adjust lash on rockers for each of the valves. this is done with a feeler & a rebuild manual for your engine will have specs. You can put distrib back in same position & align marks on gears before you put cover back on so it will be ready to fire on no 1. Getting a good seal on timing cover is tough & there is a special tool to remove/install balancer.
