Replace freeze plug in a 1998 ford windstar ?
Not likely - the 1999 Windstar was a rather significant updating of design compared to 1995-1998 models.

Not likely to fit - Ford stretched the driver's door in 1998 in a partial response to Chrysler's introduction of the driver side rear door. (prior to the Windstar getting one in 1999). Check with a local auto salvage yard, or maybe even a body shop - 2 good sources of information on parts interchangeability.

To replace the GEM (Generic Electronic Module) on a 1998 Ford Windstar, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the trim panel to access the GEM, which is typically located above the driver's side kick panel. Disconnect the wiring harness from the GEM and unbolt it from its mounting location. Install the new GEM by reversing these steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reconnecting the battery.

Most likely a bad window motor.
I am looking around to replace the transmission on my 1995 Ford Windstar and the information that I received from several different mechanics is that the 1995 Windstar transmission is a "one year" transmission so you pretty much have to get a 1995 transmission for a 1995 windstar engine. I'm no mechanic and really have no idea but this is just what I've been told... someone out!
