I'm not sure if I done it the right way, but I had to break the plastic piece going into the fuel line on the end of the old fuel filter. Then I took needle nose pliers and pulled out the metal piece that held it in. Then the new one I bought went right in. This is what I did when nothing I tried to do to get the old one out worked and frustration set in.
