To replace the horn on a 2002 Ford Excursion, first, disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Next, locate the horn, which is usually found behind the front grille or near the radiator. Remove the mounting bolts and disconnect the wiring harness from the old horn. Install the new horn by connecting the wiring harness, securing it with bolts, and then reconnect the battery to test the horn.
To fix the horn in a 1985 Chevy Cavalier, first check the fuse related to the horn in the fuse box and replace it if necessary. If the fuse is intact, inspect the horn relay and connections for any corrosion or damage. Next, locate the horn itself, usually positioned behind the grille, and test it by applying direct power from the battery. If the horn still doesn't work, you may need to replace it with a new one.

The horn relay is in the "convenience center" which is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. It is NOT convenient to get to. Once you get to it the horn relay is a plug in unit.
