Unplug sensor cable from connector. Use 7/8" Oxygen Sensor socket, available at most auto supply and tool stores for around $10, to remove the sensor (It's a deep well with a slot cut up the side to clear the four wires that come out of the end of the sensor) . Insert new sensor using the same socket. The threads should have anti-seize compound already applied to them by the manufacturer. That is adequate. Plug the sensor connector into it's mate. That one is done. There are two Oxygen sensors on my '97 Wrangler. One is in the downpipe just after the connection to the exhaust manifold and the other is just after the catalytic converter. Easy to do!
Use a 02 socket. The 2 sensor are located in front and behind the cat.

The P0141 code on a 1997 Ford Ranger indicates a problem with the oxygen sensor heater circuit for the bank 1 sensor 2. To fix this issue, first, inspect the wiring and connectors leading to the oxygen sensor for any damage or corrosion. If the wiring is intact, test the sensor itself and replace it if faulty. Additionally, check the fuse related to the oxygen sensor heater circuit and replace it if necessary.
The throttle position sensor is a potentiometer.
The only fix is to replace it. If you are mechanicly inclined, this is a doable deal. Before you replace the sensor you should check the wiring for resistance you can use a volt/ohms meter (vom) and test the continuity of the wiring to the sensor.

To replace the oxygen sensor on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan, first ensure the vehicle is cool and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues. Locate the oxygen sensor, typically found on the exhaust manifold or near the catalytic converter, and use a wrench or O2 sensor socket to remove it. Install the new sensor by threading it in carefully and tightening it securely, then reconnect the battery. Finally, clear any error codes from the vehicle's computer if applicable and start the engine to check for proper function.
