To replace the parking sensor on a 2006 Mini, first, locate the faulty sensor, usually found in the rear bumper. Remove the bumper cover by unscrewing the necessary bolts and clips. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old sensor, then remove it from the bumper and install the new sensor in its place. Reconnect the wiring, reattach the bumper cover, and test the sensor to ensure it functions correctly.

Hi my mini cooper parking sensors packed up, i took my car to a small local garage who found that i had one sensor not working so they all stop working! I got a replacement sensor from a mini breakdown outlet £20 so don't pay bmw prices, the garage replaced the broken one just wear and tear he said, by removing the bumper and poping out the damaged sensor and replaced the new one. My car is green but the breakdown company only had black, i didn't care for that price and you can't really see the colour difference. I like a bargain.
