hi there,to replace the rear spark plugs you virtually reach over the motor and do everything by feel .it is quite an awkward reach to get at them, but the hardest one is the one closest to the drivers side. there isn't much room.if it helps you can also hang a small mirror there and this helps a bit to see what you are doing.hope this helps. Remove the spark plug wires from your 2000 Chevy Impala spark plugs. Remove the spark plugs with a 5/8 deep well socket by turning the socket to the left. Reverse the process to install the new spark plugs.
Every gas burning internal combustion engine has spark plugs. Diesel engines do not. Your Impala is not a diesel, so it has plugs.
Disconnect the battery, remove the spark plug covers and cable, and remove the old spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, replace the covers and cable, and reconnect the battery.

To replace the spark plugs on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid with a 3.5-liter engine, first, ensure the engine is cool. Remove the engine cover if necessary, then disconnect the ignition coil connectors and unbolt the coils to access the spark plugs. Use a spark plug socket to carefully remove the old plugs, inspecting them for wear, and then thread in the new spark plugs, making sure to torque them to the manufacturer's specifications. Reattach the coils and connectors, and replace the engine cover if applicable.
