The thermostat for a 1997 Chrysler Concord is located on the top front part of the engine. Follopw the big radiator hose to the top of the engine, where it connects to the thermostat housing. It has two bols that are easily accessible from the top. Remove the two bolts pull up on the thermostat housing. Take out the old thermostat and replace with a new one. Also, replace the gasket as well. Something else that may be helpful I found when changing my thermostat. Check to see if the thermostat housing has a bleeder valve on it. This is a just a small piece that can be turned with a wrench. If the engine is cool, you can attatch a small tube to the bleeder valve and open it to drain off any coolant that may still be in your upper radiator house and will prevent you from having any coolant in the house splashing out all over your engine when you remove the thermostat housing later. Just make sure to tighten the valve again before topping off the coolant after changing the thermostat.

That'll be a bulb from inside the engine compartment, behind the lamp.
You should have the 5.2 engine with your Limited, but some have been ordered with the 4.0. The Thermostat is located on the front of the engine at the end of the Radiator hose. It is between the Alternator, and the A/C Compressor. You might find it easier to remove the Alternator to get to the 2 bolts that hold in the Thermostat Housing. remove them, clean the housing and the surface it sits on, install a new gasket and thermostat and put back anything else you may have taken apart.
