The thermostat is in a housing on the engine end of the top radiator hose. Drain the cooling system and remove the hose at the housing. Remove the bolts and the housing. Clean the intake manifold and the housing. Install the thermostat and gasket and then the housing and hose. Close off the radiator drain and refill.
