Take a large flat head screw driver or small pry bar and pry the wire "bail" up and tap lightly around the cover to break the seal and it should come out and then down. Make sure you don't pry too hard on the metal cover lip as it can warp and not seal tight the next time you put it on. Always but a new gasket on to keep the chance of leaks to a minimum.
