how do you reset a fuel pump switch on a 1993 ford tempo
the reset switch should be in the trunk on the right side
its in the trunk turn switch off and back on
This information can be found in your owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can order one from a dealer. You may also find one at a salvage yard. Look in the trunk. The fuel reset switch is located in the outer trunk wall on the drivers side, you may need to pull the trunk liner down a little but there is a small access hole, and you can see the mounting nuts on the inside of the trunk wall and you can see the wire if you shine a flash light into the access hole. btw, the switch on the drivers side in the back is a cut-off switch, not a reset switch. If you really want to be technical about it, according to Ford the correct name is fuel system inertial switch.
On Fords, they are usually behind the passenger side kick panel. Sometimes called an inertia switch.
this is located on the passenger side kick panel remove the kick panel and you will see the switch it has a RED button on top press to reset.

Yes. There is a trim panel in the righthand front footwell area behind which, the inertial switch should be located. Check your owners manual and it should give you a picture.
The manual says to either push the button, and if it does not have one, to bang it against something, this will reset the switch inside.
No there is not.
On a Tempo 93, the fuel pump cutoff switch is typically located in the trunk or rear cargo area, often near the fuel tank. It can be a reset switch that activates if there's a collision or if the car detects a fault, preventing fuel from being pumped to the engine. Check the owner's manual for the exact location and reset procedure, as it may vary by model. If the fuel pump isn't functioning, this switch may need to be reset or replaced.
