you can not reset the keys or fobs without the use of a skis 3 key reader as these cost thousands of you can't do it by using the two keys you allready have as it states on some sites and in some that you can the dealer will charge a minimum half an hour labour about $120 plus the key and will need the vehicle and both keys if you have them if not more $$,The good news is a recent change in the law means that other locksmiths/key cutting shop may now be able to cut and program them cheaper than dealer if they have the software the bigger chain probably will still not cheap but cheaper
dealer does it, or use key fob
The dealer has to use his scan tool to do it.
You can not reset this key. You must go to the dealer. It is hardcoded and can only be set one time. A new key must be ordered. There are no resets.
The key code is accessed by the dealer from their computer system.
The key has to be ordered precut from the dealer, the dealer also has to program it.
To reset the alarm on a 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy, first ensure the motorcycle is in the "OFF" position. Then, use the key fob to disarm the alarm by pressing the button; this typically turns off the alarm and resets it. If you don't have the fob, you can also turn the ignition key to "ON" and then back to "OFF" to reset the system. If issues persist, consult the owner's manual or a Harley-Davidson dealer for further assistance.
you need a key code, and even then it can only be coded by an authorised dealer
Mine was in the glove compartment.
It's done with the "Transponder Key", it has a code that is used to unlock the anti theft. If you have a second key, try it. If you don't, the dealer will reset the system to work with a different key.
you will need to go to a main dealer to get it reprogram it
