Go into the trunk and disconnect both leads from the battery for 10 minutes. Then reconnect them. This forces the computer to clear any codes. If the light comes back on, take the car to a mechanic.
stop by local parts store they should have a little ob sensor that would reset it
To reset the change oil light on a 2006 Saturn Ion, turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Press the accelerator pedal fully three times within five seconds. After doing this, turn off the ignition and then start the engine to ensure the oil light is reset. If the light remains on, repeat the steps.
The same as any other car. Repair the problem and reset the light with an OBD2 scan tool. You can try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. That may or may not work.
I have a 2006 Saturn ion. The reduced engine power light came on and the car still runs but will not accelerate and only goes 30mph
When you see the Change Oil light on, push and hold the button just like you would to reset the trip counter
light lock on saturn ion car won't start
Fill your coolant to the level that it should be at. If it still comes on when the coolant is at its proper area, then it is an improper sensor. You will need to have it replaced immediately to reset the sensor.
turn on your key..hold in the milage reset button..keep it held in and roll engine over..keep it held in till it disappears..if that doesnt work..push milage reset button till "oil life" appears..then hold it in for few seconds till it disappears
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
Saturn ION 2.2 L ecotec engine has a top speed of 78.6 mph which is fairly fast.
I have a 2007 and I have to push the trip button until the oil life indicator shows. Once it does I have to push and hold the button until it says reset.
