To reset the computer on a 2005 Chevy Colorado 5-cylinder after changing the throttle body, first disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it disconnected for about 15-30 minutes. This will clear any diagnostic trouble codes and reset the engine control module. Reconnect the battery cable, then start the engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes to let the system recalibrate. Finally, take the vehicle for a short drive to ensure everything is functioning properly.
clean the throttle body
My 2006 Colorado had the same message shortly after I bought it. It turned out to be a short in the throttle body.
Programed to perform better? www.pcmforless.com
You must have the computer reprogrammed. Places such as PCMforless.com can do it for you for a price.
Both. It has fuel injectors and a throttle body.
yes,but it w ill not run without computer control and happily your 82 is computerless
On the throttle body. It is round in shape and it is connected to the throttle plate. It tells the computer the angle of that plate letting in air so it can add more fuel.
On the throttle body.
The Chevy Colorado came out in 2004
It is on the side of the throttle body opposite the throttle cable.
On the Throttle body!
No jets, it's throttle body injected, meaning it's computer controlled.
