Factory manual says that the light should go out on its own after three cycles of warm-up and cool down. If it doesn't then check the coolant level when it's cold and fill to the "full cold" mark on the coolant recovery tank.
change your thermostat.
Coolant is flushed from the radiator of a 1997 Honda Accord by opening the petcock and allowing the system to drain. The petcock is then closed, the system filled with water, and a flush added to the radiator to cleanse the system.
Sometimes the sensor will go bad but try removing it first and cleaning the inside of the sensor. They sometimes get filled with crud from not flushing or old coolant, etc. It's located in the tank on the passenger side so removing the battery first helps.

Engine ice is the best but you can get away with normal coolant as long as it says on the back that it will work with aluminum motors. When I bought mine I flushed the radiator using the little valve on the bottom corner to drain all the old coolant and filled it with prestone. If it doesn't say it works with aluminum motors it could start pitting your block and eventually cause problems.
change your oil asap. and check your coolant level, you may need to have your radiator flushed and filled, but just having an oil change could take care of your problem. hope this helped : )
Has your radiator been flushed and filled up with coolant lately, The Ac receiver/dryer, or compressor or condenser should be changes regularly, there should be clogged...
If the low coolant message is on and you are certain that the coolant level is up, then you probably have a faulty sensor or sensor connector. The low coolant indicator should turn itself off as soon as the coolant is filled.
its a dance party
The coolant is added by filling up the reservoir bottle. This model is not filled through a radiator cap.
In systems that do not have a radiator cap, the coolant is drained by the radiator drain plug. It is filled by adding coolant to the system through the overflow bottle.
You could have had alittle over fill spill on something hot. I would suggest you check the coolant level to make sure there the same amount of what you filled
