If you are referring to the check engine light, then the computer has detected a problem with the emissions system. Use an OBD2 scan tool to find the fault code and after repairing the fault, use the same tool to reset the light. If you don't have access to an OBD2 scan tool, than you can just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for about ten minutes. The downside to doing this is you will have to reset the clock and radio stations on your radio.
