How do you stop outside water from running down the inside firewall on the passenger's side of a 99 Lincoln Town Car and soaking the front and rear mats?
I know the answer this one. Had it happen on my 98 Town Car. First on the passenger side in the engine compartment just below the windsield wiper blade set-up you will see how the water is supposed to runnaway from the vent. Now just follow what I call a collection troth and there is a rubber flap/trap door that is probably clog up. Clear the passage way out. Next if you want to go further remove the coweling of passanger side wiperblade grill(easy to do). Remove grill set-up that covers vent( need to remove screws that keep it down). You will notice a foam seal that goes around vent area. Lincoln does not supply this. Remove foam seal and clean area very well. Get some silicone sealant and use a large bead, recreate foam seal. While still wet push down and rescrew back in place. Replace grill cover. That's it. Good luck. Now if anyone knows how to replace the light switch, please let me know.
