Do not take a radiator cap off. Fill from the overflow tank or you will add air to the cooling system and it will have to be bled off or your engine will overheat.
what type of radiator fluid does a 2000 ford ranger take?
Looking at the front of the car, it's on the passenger side, just in front of the radiator, about half way down. Have to take the radiator out to get to it - It's a pain.
take the vehicle to a reputible radiator repair shop and they should be able to flush the whole system out for you.
There isn't one. To flush my radiator in my 2000 I had to take off the lower rad hose.
I don't believe it is possible. The regulation or "governor" is computer controlled.
take off plastic shield that goes from bottom of radiator to bottom of motor and you will see starter in bottom of motor
I think I had the same problem on my 2000 and decided to just take off the lower radiator hose to drain it.
follow the top radiator hose to the intake manifold... there will be an elbow its connected to. take off the elbow and under it will be your thermostat.
i flush the radiator filled it with antifreeze water .. now i heard i should take out air from inside of radiator or hoses so the air will not block circulation of the water? thank you.
take out the old one then put a new one in the same way you got the old one out
Drain the vans radiator. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. take the thermostat out. Put in the new thermostat and re install the inlet and hose. Refill the radiator.
Should be found on the passengers side of the radiator, under the lower radiator hose. It should take a 1/4" drive ratchet to turn it open.
