Under the hood is a long crank. When you open the back door, a small hole is exposed in the bottom edge. Put the crank in to the hole and you can crank the spare tire down.
There should be a page explaining this attached to the jack.
On a 2007 Ford Explorer : ( NO ) the spare tire does not a sensor for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ( TPMS )
how to remove the spare on a 2003 explorer
Underneath the Explorer , just ahead of the rear bumper
Underneath the Explorer , just ahead of the rear bumper
always have the weight of the tire and rim on the cable when cranking
I don't believe there is
underneath the rear of the truck - lets down with a crank
above the spare tire on the driver side
You can view the 2000 Ford Explorer owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the changing a tire instructions , with drawings , starts on page 199 )
On my 1995 Ford Explorer , to lower the underbody spare tire , I open the liftgate and the access hole is located above the rear bumper at the center of the bumper ( I assume your Ford Aerostar would be similar )
NO - there isn't a pressure sensor inside the spare
If it's not in a spot, which is really convenient to the spare, or new tire, then just keep it stowed in the back.
