How do you tell what kind of motor 2003 Dodge Dakota slt?

many ways, look at either side of the engine and count either how many spark plugs u have or tubes on the exhaust if 3 it is most likely a 3.9 if 4 it it will most likely a 5.2 or 5.9, not many are but some have i think a 2.5 4cyl it will only have exhaust on one side of the engine , also look on the end of the drivers door or on the inside of the hood it will b some where
