To tighten torsion bars, first, ensure the vehicle is safely lifted and supported. Locate the torsion bar adjustment bolts, usually found on the control arm or crossmember. Use a socket or wrench to turn the adjustment bolts clockwise to increase tension, which raises the vehicle's front end. It's important to make small adjustments and check the height frequently to avoid over-tightening and potential damage to the suspension system.
No they do not come with the truck.
YES, That would be the 2 long round bars that run from both bottom controll arms in the front to a crossmember in under the cab.
un-tighten the clamp unscrew the bars and then its off put your clamp on the new bars align the wheel tighten the clamp put grips on and intense ride!!!!
Tighten your clamp
you have to take off your bars an take out the bolts on the clamp then slide it on the bars refit the bars straighten them up then tighten the clamp.
Most torsion bars have adjuster screws or bolts on the bars. When you tighten one side you have to tighten the other side the same amount. If you don't it will make it will make the vehicle sit crooked. So measure both side then tighten the accordly. If you tighten them up to much though you can break them as they are designed to work in a specified range. If you're looking to lift the vehicle check out a proper lift kit.
check idler arms sway bars first
No, that will mess with the front alignment angles,
yes but do not tighten t much becouse forks will snap
my friend put 315/75/16 Maxxis Bighorns on his 01 f150 with nothing but cranking his tortion bars up a little. he didnt have any rubbing or clearance issues
AnswerThe rear tortion bars have different sizes of spline, inboard or outboard, so you turn the trailing arm on the tortion bar until you reach the desired height eg. down 1 large, too high,up one small till you find a combo that worksThe front main beam can be replaced with an adjustable one.I have heard you can grind the welds off the tubes, turn them and reweld, but check that, because I've never done itPurchase dropped spindles for the front
with stock suspension you could fit 30 9.50's but if you crank your tortion bars all the way up you can fit a 31 of any width. you might have to customize your fender wells though. you can go with a body lift and fit 33's under it
