To disable the factory alarm on a 2001 Chevy Camaro, use the key fob to unlock the doors, which should deactivate the alarm. If the fob is not available, insert the ignition key and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine, then turn it back to "Off" and repeat this two more times. This should reset the alarm system. If problems persist, consult the owner's manual or a professional for further assistance.
